This is not an advertisment for a Beijing Hotel, but to show our appreciation for the way the hotel staff
in the Jianguo Hot Spring Hotel cared for us during a visit in October 2011 to Beijing.
We had travelled for ten hours by train from Wuhan and as soon as we entered the Hotel Lobby, to sign in at the desk,
it was evident that our stay in the Hotel was going to be a happy one !

We often had a snack in the Lobby, sitting at a table by a fish pond. When the fish saw us they would gather near us waiting for their share of the cakes! .

This travelogue with the China pictures is the result of many visits to China over several years, visiting the usual tourist sites and going inland to other China towns, making many Chinese friends along the way. Each of the China pictures on this page is also a link to its relevant page, which will open in a new window. The first visit to China was in 1987 and the last visit in October 2008. Regular visitors will know that new pictures of China, from new China locations and with new China topics, are added most months. After so many visits to China there seems to be a bottomless pit of pictures to be dealt with; take 10 out, put 20 new ones back in..........!

The Experiences Of A Tourist In China Pictures
On one visit to Beijing for the Chinese New Year there was a hope that some China pictures of fireworks could be taken, but that was not realised until the arrival at Dalian where the sound of Chinese Firecrackers broke the silence of the night, and rose above the clamour of the day.
Every China visit brings more opportunities to take China pictures of Chinese people. It was on such a visit that some time was spent with the family of a Chinese Farmer in Huang Jinao. During that same year a visit was made to another Chinese family in the country town of Tong Mu from whence come the China pictures of Coolie Hats.
The diversity of China is shown in the China pictures available from this page. There are some wonderful China pictures of Buddha Rock Carvings at Dazu and in contrast,
some China pictures of intricate Chinese papercuts handcut by Chinese farmers in Shanxi Province. There are other pictures of Chinese people such as the China pictures of Chinese soldiers in Tiananmen Square or of a Chinese boy trying to catch a plane!

For any visitor to China there are many opportunities to take China pictures of interest. Tourists can take the China pictures of the Great Wall , a part of ancient China, or there are China pictures of War Tunnels to be taken in the Shunyi County Of Beijing. It is all a matter of what is of interest to them.
