The Emperors' Favorite Mystical Beast
At one of the entrances to Longtan Park, Black Chinese Dragons creep along the tops of the side walls and although they are spectacular, the main entrance is far more colorful with its painted pictures and ornamental gates, a typical Chinese feature.
On leaving, you were given a final reminder of where you had spent your time, with some artist impressions of this Mystical Beast, favored by Emperors.

Hot Chilli Kebabs Cooked On Pavement Stall

There is never any reason to go hungry in Beijing if you have a few cents to spend. You will find small snack bars selling a variety of kebabs at almost every place you visit. On the wide pavement outside the Longtan Park kebabs were being cooked and sold on three of the stalls. The savory smells of kebabs were enough to make anyone feel hungry and kebabs sprinkled with chilli powder were very popular. |

Chinese Boy Enjoys His Kebabs Near Dragon Park

From the young boy's expression, you would think that a handful of chilli kebabs and a bottled drink was his idea of paradise. He appeared to be oblivious to all the hustle and bustle around him as he enjoyed his kebabs outside Longtan Dragon Park. His features are undoubtedly those of Beijing men.
