During our visit to the City Park in Nanning, a Chinese wedding party arrived with photographers, for photos of the Bride and Bridegroom to be taken for their Wedding Album. Many of the old Chinese wedding customs have undergone change, in keeping with the modern world. Perhaps the most noticable change has been the wearing of a white wedding gown, western syle, by the bride, particularly for photos to be taken for the Wedding Album. During the course of the day of the wedding, the Chinese Bride is quite likely to have changed her dress two or three times, but the White Wedding Gown has become increasingly popular with Chinese Brides. At the wedding banquet, the Chinese Bride is more than likely to change her white gown for a red embroidered cheongsam dress, and then at the end of the banquet into a pink dress.
