The Hydraulic Arm Extended High Above The Beijing Olympics Site, Purpose Unknown

Watching the extended hydraulic arm of a crane as it rose high above the Beijing Olympic Site, was like watching a part of some modern ballet, because the tip of the hydraulic arm moved gracefully through the air. Having a remotely controlled camera fitted to the tip of the hydraulic arm would have been the means of taking photographs of the Olympic Site, with the Bird's Nest Stadium and the National Swimming Center aka., Bubble Building, from a very special vantage point. However, the visitors to the site of the Beijing Olympics had to be satisfied with views of both the Bubble Building and the Bird's Nest Stadium, from ground level. The memory of seeing that graceful hydraulic arm moving well above the grounds of the Olympic Site, will long be remembered. A thing of beauty is a joy forever!
